It's a bit slow to get going, but when it does, this debut from Dutch dance producers Robin van der Kaa and Jasper Uhl ticks along jumpingly enough - and how can you not admire an album with tracks titled Young Rats and Heavy Metal Music Magazines? David Gilmour Girls aim for a sound they think of as "swamp rave", but there's a good deal more rave than swamp going on here. Bubbling bass in the style of Donna Summer's I Feel Love make Tune in Your Aura ideal for getting ready to go
out, and the aforesaid Heavy Metal Music Magazines sustains the mood with a slurpy synth line that morphs into Iron Maiden-ish headbangery before reverting to its electronic comfort zone. The couple of tracks with vocals provide a pop garnish to this pleasant-enough dance dish.
